The top floor was floor seven. They exited the elevator and Josh led the group down the hall to the last room on the left. When they entered, Jacob was pleasantly surprised. They had the older hotel’s equivalent of an executive suite. There was a separate living room, which led into the bedroom, larger than their original one. The bedroom seating area had been furnished with their desks. There was a door to the hall in the bedroom as well.

Jacob dropped his two duffels and put his suitcase on his bed. He could definitely get used to this.

A knock sounded on the door to the adjoining suite. Curious, Jacob opened it to find Bruno and Karl on the other side.

“Howdy, neighbor,” said Bruno with a grin.

Jacob laughed. He turned to see Jean-Pierre smiling at him.

“They were going to put all of us in the south wing along Bloor,” said Karl.

“But I believe Dmitry and Yosef had some security concerns,” said Bruno. “I like it back here, it’s quieter and darker. No traffic noise or streetlights from Bloor.”

“And,” Josh said, “Scott and Tim are right across the hall. Oh, here they are now.”

JP stepped back as the two men filtered into the room. “As I said, you need to spend some time with your friends. Dmitry will be back to pick you and Josh up at six.” He kissed Jacob on the cheek and left.
